Providing Hope for Pets

Thinking About Adopting?

If you are looking to add a new member to your family, look no further! PHP Animal Shelter has new dogs and cats come through its doors every week that are all searching for a forever home.

Adopting from PHP Shelter

Our adoption process is very simple. First, come by the shelter to meet our animals! Find a pet that you know will have the time and ability to car for, and that you think is a good fit for you. Next, you will need to fill out an adoption form either online or at the shelter; the request may take up to 48 hours to be processed and approved. If your adoption request gets approved, you will be notified and you can bring your new best friend home!

Adopt, Don't Shop

A part of our mission is to prevent cruelty towards animals and animal suffering. A good way for anyone looking to help their four-legged friends is to encouraging purchasing pets at shelters rather than from breeders or pet stores. While some small-scale breeders operate ethically, many breeders over-breed their animals and keep them in poor conditions. Many people hold the misconception that animals from shelters are "broken" or "used", but this is far from the truth. All animals have their own unique personality that they are waiting to show to their future human friend. Buying pets from breeders prevents freeing up space in shelters for more animals to be rescued. Please be conscious of where you are purchasing your pets from, and support your local shelter by choosing adoption.
